About the Founder

Jimmie Wright is an exceptional Law Enforcement Officer with twenty-eight (28) years of experience, primarily in Special Operations. He began his career with the United States Air Force Security Forces and later served in the reserves with the 308th Pararescue Squadron at Patrick AFB, Florida. 

Following his initial four-year (4) enlistment, Jimmie spent twenty (20) years as a member of NASA’s S.W.A.T. Team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. During this time, he conducted multiple undercover operations during high-threat situations at the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex, particularly during VIP and dignitary visits.

 Jimmie has over fifteen (15) years of Special Operations Team Leader experience, including:

 • Prime Crew Protection for thirty-eight (38) Space Shuttle Missions 

• Secret Service Counter Assault Team (CAT) Leader for three U.S. Presidents and Vice Presidents 

• Lead Instructor for six (6) NASA S.W.A.T. Basic Tactical Operator courses (eighty-eight (88) hours each) 

He holds instructional certifications as a Firearms Instructor, Shoot-House Instructor, Rappel Master, Hurst Master, and Tactical Structural Collapse/Confined Space Technician. In 2011, Jimmie was part of the first-place team at the S.W.A.T. Round-Up International competition in Orlando, FL. He represented NASA’s S.W.A.T. Team sixteen (16) times in various high-level Special Operations competitions. 

In 2016, he received the Life Saving Award from the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce for locating and rescuing—via helicopter—a victim trapped in an isolated marsh following a serious vehicle crash. After leaving NASA in 2018, Jimmie worked for SpaceX at Cape Canaveral, FL, as a Security Supervisor overseeing daily operations, facility and route threat assessments, and the implementation of electronic security systems. In late 2019, he became an Executive Team Leader based in Boca Raton, FL, responsible for the protection of both family and principal domestically and abroad. 

Jimmie currently serves as a Deputy Sheriff with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Florida. He is also the owner of Cicada Tactical LLC and holds three (3) U.S. patents in the weapons-related industry. Cicada’s first product, the Multiple Position Weapon Accessory Mount, was released on July 1, 2022.
